After a 2 week visit in Grand Junction, I had to say goodbye. My next stop was Keystone Resort near Breckinridge, CO, where my friend Jason lives. Instead of taking the direct, i.e. boring route, along I-70, I decided to take a route that I never travelled before. My first stop was Aspen, where I stopped for a bite to eat. It was another hot day, even in the higher elevations and I had little time to spend exploring the town. Aspen is beautiful, as it should be considering the enormous amounts of money that pour into the place. But, I didn’t like Aspen, so I will not post the few pictures I have. I won’t go into detail as to my reasons why, but suffice it say, this town exuded a undeserved vanity. I’ll just leave it at that. The only beauty that struck me was on my approach to Independance Pass where the Aspen trees grew wild and untouched.
Aspen, Keystone and a trip on the railroad
